Atlanta (pitchengine.com) April, 2011 – Set in a secluded atmosphere, the Sanctuary Ultra-Lounge will serve as the setting for a look into fashion designer and boutique owner, Jason Scott’s, much anticipated Luxe by J. Loren Accessories and J. Loren Spring| Summer 2011 Apparel Collection. This lifestyle presentation and trunk show will debut in an experiential format, allowing buyers, stylists and media to not only view the pieces but indulge in the brand on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, from 8:00pm – 10:00pm.

“My debut, ready-to-wear collection is titled the Bold and the Beautiful. The collection is filled with a textural exploration of sheers, chiffons, laces, and silks. Edgy by nature, bold jewel-tone color palettes, cocktail dresses, tunics and statement custom pieces will be on display” states designer Jason Scott (owner of La Bella Vie Boutique). Pairing well with the J. Loren apparel collection, Luxe by J. Loren accessories will debut signature pieces featuring tribal notes with wooden, metals, crystal, and sparkle accents. This unique fashion presentation will fuse chic cocktails and food-by-the-bite in a style driven environment.

The king of couture receives award

The Couture Council of The Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) gave Karl Lagerfled the Fashion Visionary Award 2010 at New York Fashion Week yesterday.
Lagerfled, a German fashion designer and artist who is based in Paris, was chosen to receive the award by the Couture Council Advisory Committee for he epitomizes the highest level of design genius and is a source of tremendous influence and inspiration for the students.
“His multi-faceted career provides a road map for all who aspire to be unbounded in their artistic endeavors. We are so very pleased to give The Couture Council Fashion Visionary Award to Mr. Lagerfeld”, Fashion Institute of Technology President Dr. Joyce F. Brown noted.
Lagerfeld has collaborated on a variety of fashion and art related projects, most notably as head designer and creative director for the fashion house Chanel.
“He is inventive and a multi-faceted creator. For Chanel, he designs the Haute Couture, Ready-to-Wear, Cruise and Metiers D’Art collections, and is the creator and photographer for all fashion ad campaigns. No other fashion designer is as prolific with such widespread global influence”, says director of The Museum at FIT Dr. Valerie Steele upon elaborating Lagerfled. Steele also added that the award was created exclusively for Karl Lagerfeld.
The Couture Council Advisory Committee is an independent group consisting of curators, editors, and retailers.
